The RRS (Royal Research Ship) Discovery was built in Dundee for the use of Artic Research.
It was launched in 1901 and now sits in Discovery Point in Dundee. The ship is also listed as part of the National Historic Fleet.
In 1901 it famously set sail for the Antarctic with Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton. The expedition eventually returned in 1904.
Items on display onboard include Captain Scott’s rifle.
