Since the arrival of Manchester’s Art Gallery’s first object in 1827 the gallery has expanded across 3 buildings and gathered a collection of over 25000 items for visitors to see.
Combining fine & decorative art as well as costumes there is something for any art lover to appreciate.
Some highlights you can see when visiting the Manchester Art Gallery include the Sirens and Ulysses by William Etty, the Hireling Shepherd by William Holman Hunt and Work by Ford Maddox Brown.
As well as the permanent collection the Manchester Art Gallery has various exhibitions. See the official website for current exhibitions details.
