An absolutely fascinating museum with a very serious message. The International Slavery Museum is an excellent place to visit and learn.
Located in the city of Liverpool on the shorefront ‘Albert Dock’ this museum is perfectly situated considering the close ties to slavery Liverpool once had being a major slave trading port.
The emphasis of this museum is about those once part of the transatlantic slave trade, only ending in the 1800s.
The collections on display at the museum include;
There are also permanent and occasional display to view during your visit including the very emotional Lambeaux by Gilles Eli-Dit-Cosaque permanent display.
Please check the official website for the latest information on display and access.
