Ely Cathedral

Ely Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, is a medieval Anglican cathedral located in the city of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.

The cathedral is known for its impressive architecture, including its ornate 14th century octagon tower and the unique “octagon lantern” tower.

• The Ely Cathedral Museum: Located in the cathedral’s south transept, it is home to a variety of interesting artefact’s, including the famous “Ely Psalter” and a “Roman Mosaic”.
• The Stained Glass: The Cathedral has a collection of beautiful stained glass windows, including the 14th century “Great East Window” and the “Five Sisters” window.

Ely Cathedral cafe is located in the Cathedral’s Undercroft and is open to visitors year-round. The cafe serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes, and other snacks. It is a perfect spot to take a break from your visit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Cathedral. The café also offers outdoor seating in the summer months.

The café is adjacent to the Cathedral shop, where you can purchase souvenirs and gifts, such as books, postcards, and other items related to the Cathedral and its history.

Ely Cathedral is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Europe.
