The Churchill War Rooms

The Churchill war rooms are a part of the Imperial War Museum group.
Located just off horse guards road in central London this fascinating museum is a must for military history fans.

This underground control centre and its corridors are where the UK government managed the second world war from.
Walk the same corridors as Sir Winston Churchill take a peak at life inside the Cabinet war rooms and go back in time by 80 years or so.

Things to see include;

• Churchills bedroom
• the cabinet war rooms
• the BBC broadcast room
• the transatlantic phone room – in the guise of a private toilet

Unfortunately the Churchill War Rooms are not free to enter, there is an admission fee.
