Located in central Aberdeen on Schoolhill the Aberdeen Art Gallery is well worth a visit for lovers of Art.

The Gallery originally opened its doors in 1885 and has a collection which is highly regarded in the United Kingdom.

The displays are spread across 2 floors and consist of 18 permanent collections.

The collection includes;

  • a cake basket dating back to 1758
  • ‘Gexhi’ –  an alloy sculpture by Eduardo Paolozzi
  •  the oil painting ‘Bright Eyes’ by Sir John Everett Millais painted in 1877
